With more then 62% of the vote in favour of gay marriage, the people of the Republic of Ireland have spoken clearly in favour of equality in marriage making Ireland the first county in the history of the world to have voted into law gay marriage, meaning same sex marriage in now legal in twenty countries. It should however be noted that only 60% of those eligible to vote, did, however the cheers and applause made on the announcement made it quite clear this was a victory for equality that is very popular with the people of Ireland. Most news sources confirm that the no campaign members conceded defeat very early on. In other recent events earlier this week the court case involving a cake shop that was sued for refusing to bake a cake with a slogan supporting gay marriage, based on the religious views of the shop owner which of course were against gay marriage, found in favour against the shop owners. So earlier today, much earlier today, Jeremy Clarkson entered a BBC building and was interviewed by Radio 2 breakfast show DJ Chris Evans (no, not Captain America). I've not had a chance to hear the show myself but the BBC has provided an article on the interview with a link to the interview . This might not work for people outside the UK. Now you've probably heard several times that while Clarksons contract with the Beeb is over, that doesn't mean he's been banned from future work with the BBC. At one point he was booked to guest host an episode of "Have I Got News For You" but this was cancelled. And let's face it. after the petition to get him reinstated, if anything's pretty clear, despite the "Fracas" with a Top Gear producer that cost him his job in the first place, Clarkson is still pretty popular, but the BBC has made it very clear that they will apply their rules about conduct equally to all staff, regardless. So you might have heard about this and thought "Why Simon? Why?" After all, he's not Simon Cowell. Or you may have been one of the many people who felt so insulted that Simon Pegg has a different opinion about your favourite (or one of your favourite) genres that you felt you had to write a long insulting post about it and put it up on a forum somewhere, or on your Facebook account, or on your blog. Ahem. Well, I'm not one of the people who feels insulted. In fact, I can see where he's coming from, or might be coming from. Need something to help you pack up some clothes? I might have something to review you might like  So, today I decided to look at some storage bags, but no ordinary storage bags, these are resealable, airtight bags with the options to add some suction to take out all the air, thus leaving them lighter, more tightly packed and presumable fresher once unpacked. Yeup, whoever got the job of marketing these things must have had to spend some serious time trying to think up interesting things to say about these products. I know I found it boring while making the video and I'm drawing an equal amount of blanks right now. But hey, I think I found one interesting way to use the bag to make sure no one can get their hands on something I hold quite precious to me. Ok, been trying to get Shadowplay to work properly for awhile now, if you've used it your probably aware of it's sound recording issues. Here's a few possible solutions on this video . For those that don't know, Shadowplay is a recording tool that is part of Nvidias GeForce Experience software. This is designed to recording gameplay from your PC to make your own videos to share on social media. So that would be video game reviews, lets plays, or just sharing fun times with friends. Chances are you knew that, but there's always some people who click and link and end up on a page about something else then they were expecting :) Now the thing I want to make clear is, none of these are guaranteed to work, certainly since the last time I updated the software I've had no problems, but I'm not holding out hope here that will always be the case. So, I've a new video  up today, I posted it a few hours ago and meant to write this blog about it, but life interrupted and I got sidetracked with a few delicious message from a girl on a dating app I'm using at the moment. Hmm, might want to review the dating app at some point, it's not Tinder, but it's somewhat similar. Anyhow, back to the blog proper. Well, for the last few years I've been living in what was my grandparents house, and I've been slowly redecorating a room at a time, most of their things I keep stored in the front bedroom in various boxes and old furniture, wardrobes desks and so on, the room looked like a time capsule of 1950's Britain, post world war two furniture that looks so totally different to the stuff you get today. And now I'm in the process of trying to redecorate the front bedroom, and going through their things and seeing what I would want to keep, either because it's practical or has sentimental value and what can ...

Ok, so day two of trying out bloging, and I'm still not sure if that should spelt "blogging" or "bloging", spell checker seems to be no help at all here and I can't be bothered to actually go an look something up like that on google right now, something that would literally take seconds, on the grounds that's 3.30 am as I type this, it's late and I'm tired. But with day two and my late night tweaking of my new blog page I have managed to make a few changes, more through messing around with the settings and seeing what they do, and that's about it. One thing I would have loved to get working is the gadget features, specifically the youtube gadgets, as I would love to link my videos up to this thing, but despite what the tools seems to offer, my tire brain can't quite get them to work right. Oh well, always tomorrow, preferable with a fresher brain. Still, I do feel like I've learned something, even if it just from messing about...

I've been messing around on Youtube now for about seven months, trying to get to grips with filming, editing and creating my own graphics, none of which I've done before and I have found both challenging and rewarding. Challenging as it has meant learning new skills, and rewarding in finding some satisfaction in doing so. Not that I've had success with youtube, and in this case I'm referring to Subs and views, not making it to some sort of celebrity status or becoming rich quick, neither of which were my aim either. At this point I have a total of thirteen subscribers, and very few actually seem to watch my videos, and there might be many reasons for that, after all, youtube is a VERY popular medium right now, and my channel is just one of many doing the same thing, out of many, many channels all looking to do many, many different things on a range of topics.
