No Formal Training

Well, it had to happen sooner or later, I take a good long second look at some chest expanders I got myself a little while back. One is the good old fashioned spring based version,  design classic you might say, while the other is those lovely new fangled rubber resistance bands things which are a bit of the rage these days. So what do I think of them after having put them through their paces for a while now?

Ahhh, the things you find online, from people offering friendship based on mutual likes or dislikes to...... other things that aren't really family friendly. And of course that means sooner or later you will see MEMES being posted, shared and commented  upon. And some can be funny, others bewildering, and some, perhaps best left to be forgotten about. This is one I've decided to take a bit further. Hence the taste test. So what could possible have made think this was a good combination? Better question, what was the person who made this meme in the first place thinking of at the time? My first thought came to Doctor Who. More specifically Matt Smiths Doctors food choice after he had regenerated, the rather unusual combo of fish fingers and custard. And some people have tried it. Or at least have said they've tried it, and say it taste great. Or so they say. Other have filmed themselves eating it and put it online! So who am I to not try the same?  ...

The Temple of Terror is another classic adventure game book from the makers of Fighting Fantasy, who are indeed in the middle of publishing new adventure game books in the series as well as reissuing older works like this classic gem. Pack your six sided dice, roll up some stats, stock up some provisions and sharpen your sword as you get ready to do some old school page turning, dungeon crawling!

And we return to turning the pages of the good old adventure game book series that is Fighting Fantasy! This time a return look to one of the works of one the creators of the series, Mr Ian Livingstone, as we journey to the Island of the Lizard King.

Deja ReReview is the series where I take a second look at items I've already gave the once over. In todays show I'm taking a good look at the battery grip I use for my canon EOS 700D when shooting outdoors for long periods, and share a few details about the trials, tribulations and mishaps I've had with the Neewer BG-E8, and how it's held up.

And here we are with another bit of déjà vu, with another look at the Rode Pro mic, this time, not out of the box, and with a bit mileage on the clock, how has it fared since that fateful day when I unboxed it?

In the spot light today, is a Manfrotto camera light and the Andoer Video Light Lamp Panel, both are dimmable, both cast a good bit of light, but how have they stood up to the passing of time?
